Thanksgiving

 Thanksgiving is more than a holiday –

         thanksgiving is everyday…  

 thanksgiving is living…

      a life of thanks…

          a life of praise…

              a life of looking at the good things… 
 
                   the gifts….   

   a life of keeping our glance on the giver…

 Giving thanks is life giving.

 Giving Thanks revives us again and again and again…

”Christian thanksgiving is the life of Christ in the heart, transforming the disposition and the whole character. Thanksgiving must be wrought into the life as a habit—before it can become a fixed and permanent quality.

We must persist in being thankful. Thanksgiving has attained its rightful place in us, only when it is part of all our days and dominates all our experiences.

Every day of our years should be a thanksgiving day.

In the beginning God spoke of a tree… full of life…

 

And the LORD God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground--trees that were    pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life…  Genesis 2:9

He spoke of this tree…   this tree of life as healing…

In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. Revelation 22:2

So we close a tree…     to represent life…

                      life full…               of thanks….                 

            life full…               of praise…          

            life full…               of healing…
