Easter Treats - Peep S’mores in a Jar

Celebrate Easter

I have been wanting to make these for the past few years.  I think they would make such cute teachers gift or just a fun gift to give someone you want to bless.

  Peep S’mores in a Jar

For each jar you’ll need:
  • 1 quart-size canning jar (with lid and ring)
  • 1 sleeve of graham crackers (about 10 crackers)
  • 8 marshmallow Peeps bunnies
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 1/4 cup Spring M&Ms or other chocolate candies
  • A small square of Easter-ish fabric for the lid of the jar
  • Ribbon for decoration
  • A piece of cardstock to print the directions
Directions:
  1. Place the graham crackers in a zippered freezer bag and crush. Use a rolling pin, meat tenderizer, or hammer to crumble the crackers. This job is lots of fun for the kids!
  2. Pour about 2/3 of the graham cracker crumbs into the bottom of the clean dry jar. (This doesn’t have to be exact.) Use a wooden spoon, meat tenderizer, or other utensil to lightly pack the crumbs in the bottom of the jar. Tip: Use a funnel to avoid spilling the crumbs.
  3. Place 8 Peeps bunnies around the inside of the jar facing outward. Tip: Do not break the bunnies apart. It will be easier to handle the “chain” of bunnies. Use a wooden spoon to lightly press the bunnies against the inside of the jar but do not squish them.
  4. Pour the remaining graham cracker crumbs in the center of the ring of Peeps to stabilize them. Lightly pack the crumbs in.
  5. Pour 1/3 cup packed brown sugar in the center of the ring of Peeps and pack it in.
  6. Finish filling the jar with 1 1/4 cups of chocolate chips or seasonal chocolate candies. Try to pack the ingredients lightly but don’t worry if all the candies won’t fit.
  7. Put the lid on the jar and embellish with fabric, stickers, or ribbon. Don’t forget to attach the recipe card.
  8. Print and attach Easter Recipe Tag!

We did not make the jars this year (maybe next year?!?!) but we did make the bars. They are so fun to make.

  Peeps Casserole:
  • Easter Bunny Peeps – Any Color, I used them all (lol) 27 in total
  • 1 Bag of Pastel Colored M&M’s
  • Graham Crackers – 1 Sleeve (1 1/2 Cups)
  • 1 Stick of Butter Melted
  • 1/3 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Vanilla
Next you need to crush your Graham Crackers – I did this by placing them into a Ziploc Bag and used my fist – it was a nice moment of letting out some stress. Then place them into a bowl and add in your Melted Butter, Vanilla and Brown Sugar. Mix well.
Next take a 9″ x 13″ Baking Dish and give it and spray with Cooking Spray. Preheat the oven to 350. Then take your Graham Crackers and press into the bottom of the dish and spread evenly. Now cover that with your bag of Pastel Colored M&M’s. Then take your Peeps Bunnies and place them on the top all lined up and looking cute!!
Place your Peeps Casserole into the oven for Approx. 15 Minutes or until your Bunny Peeps get all melty.
